Networks for Nature Update

Delivery is well underway for this Chester Zoo-led community conservation project which is designed to support the Local Nature Strategy for Cheshire and Warrington and the One City Plan actions around improving green and blue spaces and access.

Working with a range of partners, habitat and access improvements have taken place at Lache Backies, the Chester Greenway and along the Shropshire Union Canal. As well as driving nature recovery, the project is also empowering people across Chester and Ellesmere Port to take an active role in conservation and environmental stewardship. We are taking action with community groups, schools, GP surgeries, landowners and anyone interested to make an impact for nature. Networks for Nature has been made possible with the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
