Developing a cultural policy document for planning inclusion

The objective is to ensure creative places are considered within future planning development to recognise the importance of creativity and its role in the sustainable development of the city.

Our aim is to create a detailed cultural policy which is included within local planning policy that seeks to obtain new cultural provision or improvements to access cultural facilities through new developments such as Northgate Phase 2. It would ensure future development proposals for all strategic sites can demonstrate that cultural provision has been considered from the outset.
